Specialized Packaging Group is Awarded Supplier of the Year by the CMSDC

Plantsville, CT (May 12, 2008), The Specialized Packaging Group, Inc (SPG), was presented with the Supplier of the Year award, Category 4 by the Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC) in the CMSDC Annual Awards Banquet ceremony held at the Aquaturf Club on May 1, 2008. Corporate member United Technologies Research Center’s Cheri McDonald-Hudgins nominated SPG for the award.

The award category, Category 4, recognizes Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) with sales over $50 million. SPG reported sales revenue of $150 million in 2007 and was the first CMSDC MBE member to win in this category in 2005. SPG will be submitted for national consideration to compete with other successful MBE members of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
